Pram Gang in short
Who it's for
Looking for mum groups in Dubai (or mom groups), mum and baby groups, free things to do with a baby, or just a way to get out of the house with the pram? Pram Gang is a free walking and running group for parents with babies and toddlers in prams. It's for you if:
Expat mums and dads far from family. Lots of us arrived without a village. This is an easy way to meet other parents.
The days can feel long and quiet. A walk and a chat with people who get it can make a real difference.
Walk, power walk or run with a pram. Come for a gentle stroll or a proper workout. Whatever suits you that day.
No fitness level needed, no kit to buy, and you don't need to know anyone. Come as you are.
Join the Pram Gang WhatsApp communityHow it works
We meet on selected Sundays (not every week) on the beach path at Kite Beach, Jumeirah. It's the long, flat, pram-friendly track that runs alongside the sand. Dates, times and the exact meeting point go out in the WhatsApp community first.
Toilets and a water station are on site. Plans can change for heat, wind or weather, so check the group before you set off.
Keep it simple
How we look after each other
No one is too slow and no one gets left behind. Walking counts just as much as running.
Feeding, sleep, bodies, parenting choices: we're here to support each other, not compare.
This is a community, not a sales funnel. Please keep the group free of pitches and promotions.
Kite Beach is busy with runners, bikes and families. Walk two abreast at most and keep to one side.
Safe for everyone
Dubai heat is no joke for little ones. We pick cooler times and months, and we'll pause or cancel when it's too hot. Shade, water and breaks always.
Get the okay from your doctor or midwife before running or harder exercise, especially after a caesarean. Gentle walking is a lovely place to start.
Stay on the paved beach path (sand is hard going), use the brake when you stop, and use the wrist strap if you're running.
Pram Gang is a free, informal community, not a class, childcare or medical service. Each parent looks after their own child and moves within their own limits.
Local guide
Pram-friendly walks, stroller walks and free things to do with a baby in Dubai, for the days between meetups. Go early morning or late afternoon, and November to March is the most comfortable time of year. Entry fees and opening hours change, so check before you go.
Long, flat beach path with sea views, toilets and water on site, plus cafés and food trucks. Can get busy, so share the lane. Our Sunday home.
A 1.5 km rubber running loop, play areas, toilets and free parking. Good for laps with a sleeping baby.
Big, central park with paved paths, playgrounds and toilets, and close to the Metro. Small entry fee for adults, and under-2s are free.
Leafy park with pram-friendly paths and picnic lawns. It's smaller than it used to be and some areas have been closed off, so check the gate you plan to use.
Smooth, pedestrian waterfront promenade with ramps, benches, cafés and play areas. Do a short section, because the full loop is around 7 km.
Creek Park has wide lawns and water views. Al Ittihad Park on Palm Jumeirah has a 3.2 km running track that works well for a quieter pram walk.
The Jumeirah beach running track carries on either side of Kite Beach, roughly 7 km one way between Umm Suqeim (near the Burj Al Arab) and Jumeirah 1. Toilets at the main beach entrances. Great for a longer out-and-back.
A 2.5 km running track loops the park, with smooth paved paths, playgrounds, picnic lawns and toilets. Right next to Dubai Hills Mall. The splash park and skate park charge separately.
An 11 km, 6 m wide seaside promenade along the Palm's crescent, with food trucks and cafés. Free parking on the crescent road fills up in the evenings. Pick a short out-and-back rather than the whole thing.
Waterside walkways on both banks between Business Bay and Jumeirah, with a 3 km running track, benches and lifts at the footbridges. Passes Safa Park, so you can combine the two.
A flat, step-free waterfront boardwalk of about 4.5 km with Burj Khalifa views, lawns and playgrounds, plus the free Viewing Point deck. No Metro stop yet, so drive, take a taxi or the boat from Al Jaddaf. Skip busy event nights.
A big, green park in Mirdif. AED 3 on foot or AED 10 per car, and under-2s are free. Stick to the paved areas with the pram: the 10 km hiking trail has sand, stairs and slopes, so use a baby carrier there.
Facts checked in October 2026 against Dubai Municipality, RTA, Emaar, Nakheel and Visit Dubai information. Fees, hours and works can change, so check before you go. Know a great pram walk we've missed? Share it in the WhatsApp community and we'll add it.
Our story
“I didn't want to choose between weekends with my son and proper fitness. So I started Pram Gang.”
Hi, I'm Cathy Rezk. I'm a fitness coach for women over 40 at Cathy Moves, and I'm a mum here in Dubai. My son Jacob was born in February 2025.
After Jacob arrived, I found it really hard to find a community of parents. Not just mums (I'm very happy being with mums too), but parents: mums, dads, anyone pushing a pram.
I also looked for ways to keep fit with a baby, and the options I found were far too soft for me. I wanted proper fitness, not just a gentle stroll.
Most of all, I wanted to spend my weekends with Jacob and get a real workout in. I didn't want to pick one.
So I started Pram Gang. It's a way to get the family together outside, and to let our kids see their parents move and walk. Come for a walk or push yourself harder. Both are welcome.
It's free, and it always will be. I'd love to see you on a Sunday.

Kite Beach Sundays are where it starts. These are some ideas I'd love to grow into. They're ideas, not fixed dates, and the WhatsApp community will hear first if and when they happen.
More walks in other parts of Dubai, so more families can join closer to home. Tell us where you'd like one.
Outdoor strength sessions for parents, with the pram right next to you. Proper fitness, scaled to where you are.
Sessions where the whole family moves together, and kids see their parents being active.
Whatever comes next, it will always be guided by me, Cathy, a fitness coach for women 40+, and it will always be friendly to every pace.

Yes, and it's for parents too. Pram Gang is a free WhatsApp community for Dubai mums, dads and other carers who like to walk or run with a pram. Most of us are mums, and dads, grandparents and nannies are welcome too.
Yes. There's no membership, no fee and no sales pitch. You join the WhatsApp community and come to the Sundays that suit you.
On selected Sundays (not every Sunday) on the beach path at Kite Beach, Jumeirah, Dubai. Dates, times and the exact meeting point are posted in the WhatsApp community before each meetup.
Not at all. You can walk, run, or mix the two. Nobody gets left behind, and you never have to keep up with anyone.
Yes. The beach path is paved, flat and wide, which makes it easy with a pram. Keep the pram on the path, because the sand is hard going. There are toilets and a water station on site.
There are public toilets on site, and the Kite Beach operator lists baby changing facilities. We'll point out the nearest ones when we meet.
Yes, please do. Pram Gang is for parents, so dads, grandparents and other carers who push the pram are welcome.
That's exactly who it's for. Lots of parents here are far from family. Come along, say hi, walk at your own pace. You don't need to know anyone.
Everyone is different. Gentle walking is often fine early on, but please get the okay from your doctor or midwife before running or harder exercise, especially after a caesarean or a difficult birth.
Heat is the big one. Meetups are planned for cooler times of day and the cooler months, and we'll pause or cancel when it's too hot. Bring water, shade for the pram and sun protection.
Please always ask before photographing anyone else or their children, and don't post other people's children online without their parent's clear okay.
Good pram-friendly walks in Dubai include the Jumeirah beach running track around Kite Beach and Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha Pond Park, Dubai Hills Park, Zabeel Park, Safa Park, the Dubai Water Canal walk, Dubai Marina Walk and JBR, the Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk, Dubai Creek Harbour, Creek Park and Al Ittihad Park. Go early or late in the day, and check fees and opening hours before you go.
It can be either. Some parents walk and chat, others power walk or run with the pram. Cathy is a fitness coach, so there's room to push yourself, and there's never any pressure to keep up.
Cathy Rezk, a Dubai mum and fitness coach for women over 40 (Cathy Moves). It's a community, not a class, so you'll never be sold anything.
After her son Jacob was born in February 2025, Cathy found it hard to find a community of parents, not just mums, and the fitness options she found were far too soft. She wanted to spend weekends with her son and get proper fitness in, so she started Pram Gang to bring families together and let kids see their parents move and walk.
Ideas include pram walks in more areas of Dubai, strength training sessions for parents and family-friendly fitness, always guided by Cathy. These are ideas, not fixed dates. News goes to the WhatsApp community first.
